Martin Dawes Systems is Champion of Champions at Northwest England Business Awards

Martin Dawes Systems, an international software and services firm, has won the Warrington Business of the Decade award in recognition of the company‘s contribution to the development of Warrington as a centre for business excellence and innovation.

The company, founded in 1997 and headquartered in Warrington, has transformed itself from a small UK software company into a global supplier of solutions for telecommunications companies including BT, O2, Orange, AOL and Vodafone. Today, Martin Dawes Systems employs over 300 people worldwide with offices on all continents.

The success of the business is based on a strong and forward-thinking management team who have led Martin Dawes Systems to develop the skills and resources required to become an international player. The company expanded its reach through successful acquisition of technology companies in North America and Scandinavia, as well as ongoing investment in systems development, recruitment and training.  A constant commitment to quality and customer service has enabled Martin Dawes Systems to forge strategic partnerships with its clients on how they develop and deliver new products and services.

With a decade of  steady growth, the company has expanded from its original town centre offices in 1998 to today occupy 23,000ft across two buildings on the Cinnamon Park business park in Fearnhead.  It has also invested in developing its services capability in Warrington and overseas.

One great example of how Martin Dawes Systems is innovating at the cutting edge of telecommunications is its work with a US company called Aircell, the leading provider of airborne communications technology to US airlines. Martin Dawes Systems is providing the customer care systems that support Wi-Fi broadband internet access on airplanes flying in the USA. 

The Warrington Business Awards are run by the Warrington Guardian in partnership with Warrington Borough Council and the Northwest Regional Development Agency. Now in its 10th year, the Warrington Business Awards are regarded as a benchmark for excellence throughout the area.

The Business of the Decade award is eligible to all winners of the Business of the Year Award since the year 2000. Martin Dawes Systems won the award in 2006.
